Troy Harris brings over 30 years of experience in timberland investment, management, and innovation across the U.S. and Brazil. He has led the acquisition of more than 1 million acres of timberland valued at $1.4 billion and the disposition of over 538,000 acres worth approximately $880 million, including the public launch of CatchMark Timber Trust.
Throughout his career, Troy has overseen the management of nearly 1 million acres and the planting of more than 30 million seedlings, combining operational expertise with long-term investment strategy. He is a recognized leader in advancing the mass timber industry, helping connect sustainably managed forests to commercial real estate development, including pioneering “Georgia Grown” mass timber projects.
A trusted voice in the industry, Troy has testified before the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee on the role of working forests as natural carbon solutions and the future of mass timber. He is a Certified Forester and serves in leadership roles across multiple forestry organizations, reflecting his deep industry relationships and commitment to sustainable forestry.
Troy holds a B.S. in Forest Management from Auburn University and an MBA in Real Estate Investing from the University of Georgia.
